Also known as barrel or fiddler nets, our hand-made nets are the “fisherman’s favorite” because they are the net of choice with successful fishermen everywhere. We developed this net after talking with hundreds of fishermen and spending years of study and experimentation. By using the proper amount of netting around and between the hoops, we have developed a net which opens fully and doesn’t sag or roll between hoops. We are confident this is the finest hoop net available.



Our Hoop Nets Feature...

Superior Quality Netting

100% virgin filament nylon, manufactured to our exact specifications. All netting is bonded and stabilized to hold knots and ensure uniform mesh size.


Throats:
Our throats are built in fingered crowfoot style-made of 100% filament nylon netting. FISH SWIM IN, BUT CAN”T SWIM OUT!



Strong hoops:

You are currently viewing our Hoop Nets with strong galvanized (non-rusting) steel hoops. We also have Fiberglass hoops available which are light-weight and very durable.



Specifications:

All nets have seven hoops with two throats placed on the second and fourth hoops. The only exceptions are the F2A, F2-1/2A, F3E, and F3G which have six hoops with two throats placed on the first and third hoops.



“Web only” nets consist of web and two loose crowfoot throats. The only exceptions are nets with six hoops which have one throat attached to the web at the mouth and one loose throat.



Hoops are available in lightweight fiberglass and non-rusting galvanized steel. Please specify when ordering.



Shipping: Four-foot and four-and-a-half-foot hoop nets can be shipped by bus or truck. Please specify when ordering.



Special Treatments:

Netcoat - Extend the life of your nets significantly with this treatment which seals the fibers of the netting to protect them from sunlight and water damage. This treatment also minimizes the amount of trash, sticks, and other debris which tends to cling to nets. Since this treatment darkens the color of the hoop net, it is especially helpful in catching catfish. Add 8% per net.
